Another anti-government protest action is taking place in Tbilisi and major cities of Georgia, its participants are demanding new parliamentary elections, APA reports quoting Mtavari Archi TV company.
Continuous protests in Georgia began after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced on November 28, 2024 that he would suspend consideration of the issue of starting negotiations on the country's membership in the European Union until 2028. During the actions, law enforcement officers detained several hundred people.
"On the 38th day of the protest, participants gathered in the center of Kutaisi, in Batumi in front of the Constitutional Court, in Zugdidi and in Tbilisi in front of the parliament building," the broadcaster reports.
