NATO Secretary General concerned over post-election situation in Ukraine

Baku – APA. NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen expressed his concern over the post-election situation in Ukraine, APA reports quoting “UNIANâ€. Referring to the opinion of international observers, Rasmussen said in Brussels that the parliamentary elections, held a week ago, are a step back for Ukrainian democracy. According to him, OSCE observers said that unequal condition was created for the candidates during the election campaign.
According to him, politically motivated trials did not allow some opposition leaders to take part in the elections. Underling the importance of democratic and stable Ukraine for Euro-Atlantic security, Rasmussen said that they were ready to held Ukraine for carrying out necessary reforms.
