Ahmet Turk says DTP members to boycott parliament

Baku – APA. Members of the Turkey’s Democratic Community Party (DTP) banned by the Constitutional Court will boycott the parliament, DTP co-chair Ahmet Turk told journalists, APA reports. They lost a chance to establish faction at the parliament while abolishing of their status of lawmaker. Expressing opinion about the establishment of new faction joined by ODEP’s Ufuk Uras, Turk said DTP members wouldn’t take part in the parliament’s activity in a protest against its decision.

Ahmet Turk said the Constitutional Court didn’t pass legal decision, it pass political decision. “Leila Zana is not a founder of this party. She was the party’s member, but was dismissed because of prosecutor’s suit against her. She didn’t participate in our meetings. But the Constitutional Court based on the Leila Zana’s actions when decided to ban the party”.
