Ahmet Turk says DTP members to boycott parliament

Baku â€“ APA. Members of the Turkeyâ€™s Democratic Community Party (DTP) banned by the Constitutional Court will boycott the parliament, DTP co-chair Ahmet Turk told journalists, APA reports. They lost a chance to establish faction at the parliament while abolishing of their status of lawmaker. Expressing opinion about the establishment of new faction joined by ODEPâ€™s Ufuk Uras, Turk said DTP members wouldnâ€™t take part in the parliamentâ€™s activity in a protest against its decision.

Ahmet Turk said the Constitutional Court didnâ€™t pass legal decision, it pass political decision. â€œLeila Zana is not a founder of this party. She was the partyâ€™s member, but was dismissed because of prosecutorâ€™s suit against her. She didnâ€™t participate in our meetings. But the Constitutional Court based on the Leila Zanaâ€™s actions when decided to ban the partyâ€.
