Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has not received any proposal on transportation of Russian gas via TANAP, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev told journalists.
“SOCAR has not received such proposal. Moreover, such cases have not been considered while realizing TANAP. However, the projects implemented by Azerbaijan are not rival to any projects”, Abdullayev said.
A while ago, Russian press reported that the new project (TANAP), supported by the European Union, envisages the supply of Azerbaijani gas to European Union countries and is designed to transport 30 billion cubic metres per year. However, Azerbaijan is unlikely to be able to supply more than 15 billion cubic metres, so Gazprom has the right to count on the remaining capacity in the pipe.
