Azerbaijan quintuples car production

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-November, 2014, Azerbaijan produced AZN 332.2 mln-machinery and equipment, transport facilities, cars and trailers.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that machinery and equipment production dropped 10.1%, cars and trailers rose 48.7%, transport facilities soared 3.3 times.

Azerbaijan produced 1,861 vehicles, up 4.7times by contrast to a year earlier. Finished products stood at 319 units.

229 trucks were produced in the country during the same period, up 0.4% compared to a year earlier.

At the same time, tractor production rose 83.7% to 1,137, plows rose 31.5% to 927.
