In the first half of this year, 2,246.6 thousand tons of oil and oil products were transported by sea, which is 11.8% more compared to the same period of last year, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the information, in January–June of last year, 2,009.3 thousand tons of oil and oil products were transported by sea in the country.
In the first half of the current year, a total of 4,611.5 thousand tons of cargo were transported by sea in Azerbaijan, which represents an increase of 11.8%. Thus, during the reporting period, oil cargoes accounted for 48.7% of the total cargo transported by this mode of transport.
