In December of last year, Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production was 453,000 barrels, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
Compared to indicators in November of last year (455,000 barrels), Azerbaijan’s average daily oil production in October decreased by 2,000 barrels.
According to the data, in the first, second, third, and fourth quarters of this year, the indicator amounted to 466,000 barrels, 461,000 barrels, 458,000 barrels, and 456,000 barrels, respectively.
It is reported that in 2025, Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production was 460,000 barrels, which is 21,000 barrels less compared to the 2024 figure.
Recall that Azerbaijan is a participant in the “OPEC+” agreement. “OPEC+” is an initiative of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-member countries to reduce oil production (to balance the market – ed.).
Note that according to the agreement reached by the ministers of “OPEC+” countries, Azerbaijan’s production quota will be 551,000 barrels per day until the end of 2026. Thus, in December of last year, Azerbaijan fell short of the quota under “OPEC+” by 98,000 barrels, and overall in 2025, by 91,000 barrels.
