In January of this year, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this sector in Azerbaijan produced industrial products worth AZN 5.5 billion, which is 2.6% less compared to January of the previous year, State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
According to the Committee, production in the oil and gas sector decreased by 4.5%, while the non-oil and gas sector saw a 9.9% increase.
Of the total industrial production, 61% came from the mining sector, 31.9% from the manufacturing sector, 6.3% from electricity, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply, and 0.8% from water supply, waste treatment, and recycling.
