Azerbaijan has so far supplied a total of 561 million tons of oil and 196 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye and international markets via Türkiye through the existing oil and gas infrastructure, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said, APA reports.
According to him, during this period, 130 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas were transported to Türkiye, of which 40 billion cubic meters accounted for TANAP.
“In the eight months of this year alone, 6.2 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas were supplied to Türkiye, 7.5 billion cubic meters to European countries via Türkiye, and 1 billion cubic meters to Syria,” Parviz Shahbazov noted.
He added that projects such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, TANAP and TAP have strengthened the strategic role of Azerbaijan and Türkiye in regional and global energy security.
