Since its commissioning, the Gulabird Small Hydropower Plant (HPP) located on the Hakari River in the Lachin district has generated 69.9 million kWh of electricity as of February 1, APA-Economics reports.
The plant was restored and put back into operation four years ago, on February 14. The total capacity of the pressure derivation-type plant is 8 MW.
It is noted that small hydropower plants produce environmentally friendly electricity, and no greenhouse gases are emitted into the atmosphere.
