Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Black Sea countries are becoming key players in shaping the new global energy map, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiyev said at the 13th International Caspian Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that Azerbaijan plays an important role in this process both as a producer and a transit country.
“The renewable energy projects being implemented in Karabakh and East Zangazur, as well as the development of offshore wind potential in the Caspian Sea, are turning our country into a green energy hub of the region,” the deputy minister said.
Rafiyev added that Azerbaijan is working closely with international partners to achieve its renewable energy capacity targets by 2030.
