AzerEnerji OJSC is reconstructing the 110/35/10 kV Khankendi-2 substation in the city of Khankendi and the 110/35/10 kV Hasanriz substation in the Aghdara district, replacing the existing facilities with new ones built using the latest digital technologies, AzerEnerji told APA-Economics.
The construction of the Khankendi-2 substation will ensure a more reliable, stable, and higher-quality electricity supply to the city of Khankendi, surrounding settlements, and all major infrastructure facilities.
The Hasanriz substation being built in the Aghdara district will increase the reliability of electricity supply to consumers in the district, including industrial enterprises, while also ensuring the safe and uninterrupted transmission of electricity generated at the Sarsang Hydropower Plant and other hydropower plants operating in the region to the country's power system.
According to the information, both the Khankendi-2 and Hasanriz substations will be equipped with a local micro-SCADA dispatch control system to enable remote operation of switching equipment and real-time transmission of technological data. These systems will be integrated into AzerEnerji's Central SCADA control platform.
It should be noted that AzerEnerji previously completely reconstructed the Khankendi-1 substation, which was commissioned as an indoor substation in December last year. Upon completion of the new projects, the number of substations built by AzerEnerji in the liberated territories will reach 16. In addition, 38 hydropower plants have already been constructed and commissioned in the region, while the construction of eight more hydropower plants is currently underway.
