APA reports that MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev dropped his remarks over the leadership of the Defense Ministry. He noted that the ministry should increase staff resources with our citizens. Hasanguliyev blamed some officials of the Defense Ministry for once failing to support the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and cast doubt on their commitment to the current Supreme Commander.
Speaker Ogtay Asadov said that Azerbaijan is a stable country: “But some concrete external forces are attempting to destabilize the situation in Azerbaijan this year. I’m sure that their efforts will fail.”
In response to MP Igbal Aghazadeh, who considered necessary the release of political prisoners, YAP deputy secretary general Siyavush Novruzov said that there are no political prisoners in Azerbaijan. According to him, there are persons brought to justice over exact criminal cases.
MP Sabir Rustamkhanli said that some Turkish TV channels insulted the Azerbaijani historical figures such as Shah Ismayil: “For example, Kanal 24 is insulting Shah Ismayil. This TV channel is owned by SOCAR, why Shah Ismayil is being insulted by that channel? SOCAR leadership should not leave it unanswered.”
MP Zahid Oruj spoke about the recent facts of drug trafficking revealed by the Ministry of National Security: “The international organizations have a tough position on drug trafficking, but unfortunately, in this sense, it is not applied to Nagorno Karabakh. We have completely right grounds to sue Armenia and the separatist military regime of Nagorno Karabakh. We need to summarize Armenians’ illegal activities and submit to the international legal organizations.”
