Moscow. Farid Akberov – APA. In Moscow, the defense ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia have discussed the statement issued by Colonel Andrey Ruzinsky, the commander of Russia’s military base in Armenia, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
At the meeting with his Russian counterpart Army General Sergei Shoygu, Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov highlighted the views of Andrey Ruzinsky, the commander of the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri, saying “If Azerbaijan starts military operation in Nagorno Karabakh, the military base can join the conflict,” in the interview with “Krasnaya Zvezda” (Red Star) newspaper. In his turn, Sergei Shoygu said that Ruzinsky’s views had been distorted: “Most likely, it was the mistake of the journalist who took the interview.”
