Ali Hasanov: â€œToday the national power is the New Azerbaijan Partyâ€

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. “It is necessary to take into account a reality while considering political processes and foreign policy affairs in the country. Sometimes, the forces in power make decisions on important issues in complicated situations, because these decisions are estimated through the prism of responsibility regarding the people’s interests, commitments before them and the future of the state,” chief of socio-political department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov said addressing the reporting conference of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union today, APA reports.

The department chief noted that the Azerbaijani authorities have commitments before the people, Azerbaijani President has taken oath before the people: “The Head of State is the guarantor of the independence of the state and the safety of the people. The Azerbaijani authorities can not stand aside the national interests and feelings. Even in every small issue, we take into account the benefit and opinion of the Azerbaijani people. Maybe sometimes, some neighboring countries or international forces dislike these decisions and our position on various issues, because we can not speak in accordance with someone’s interests, contrary to the national interests. The opposition of Azerbaijan is away from national interests. In order to reach their goals and come to power, the opposition expresses any views and cooperates with any forces. The opposition forces issue groundless and populist statements without taking into account the reality of the country and region and the ongoing process in the world. Unfortunately, some our citizens still believe this populism. The authorities think about every inch of the Azerbaijani land and the fate of every citizen. The opposition is engaged in election propaganda.

Compare the current situation with the previous elections. Aren’t the current claims of the opposition the election propaganda? The opposition approaches any country, external forces in terms of power ambitions. Though they undertake commitments contrary to our national interests, they can not get support. The authorities have great responsibilities and commitments before the Azerbaijani people. Every step and word of the Azerbaijani President is based on national interests and values. Today, Mr. President is not engaged in the election propaganda. He is engaged in the protection of the national interests of our country. However, the opposition’s activity aims to impede this work. Of course, they will not be able to achieve it. Therefore we rightly say that the opposition is away from national interests. The opinion of the vast majority of Azerbaijani society proves it. Therefore, the opposition fails to win the support of the people and focuses on the support of foreign anti-Azerbaijani forces.”

Hasanov said that today the national power is the New Azerbaijan Party: “Today, the national leader is Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who ensures the interests of our people, has achieved the rapid development of our country and well-being of the society. President Ilham Aliyev lives with the cares of the people and the state, while the opposition bargains with the feelings and morality of the people. We feel regret for it.”
