Baku-APA. The development of Azerbaijan has already been stressed, appreciated by all the influential international organizations. Azerbaijan's experience has been taught as a very positive experience. It's not a secret that the path passed by us is a beacon, direction for developing countries or countries in difficulty. In its turn, it imposes an even greater responsibility on us.
Azerbaijani President also talked about successes in the international arena: “In 2003-2013 years - for the last 10 years, Azerbaijan has managed to reach the highest peaks in the international arena, Azerbaijan was elected as a member to the UN Security Council - the number one world structure. It is a victory, the triumph of our diplomacy, politics and statehood. There is no structure above it in the world. And in May of last year, Azerbaijan chaired this influential structure.
Today we are addressing global problems. Our position, voice is very important. We are making progress, defending our position in other international organizations as well. In the organization, where Azerbaijan is a member, we defend our interests and at the same time we are making a great contribution to the development of these organizations from political and all other points of view.
The foreign policy, we have constructed on a bilateral basis, can be an example. This policy is based on principles of equality, mutual benefit, mutual respect and non-interference in each other's affairs. This is our approach. We do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. I think that if these trends will prevail in the world, and the wars and conflicts will be less. In general, the world will develop more in the direction of cooperation. Therefore, our results both in the bilateral format and within international organizations, as well as our overall foreign policy concept is praiseworthy, respectful in the world and enable us to carry out a successful policy within the country. Each country should be interested that the situation around it is stable, peaceful and calm in order to carry out the processes within the country in a normal environment.
The Head of the State also touched internal policy: “Freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly - all of these freedoms exist. In Azerbaijan, there is free internet access, no restrictions are imposed. The development of democracy - it is the main goal for us. Today, Azerbaijan is not inferior to any country on the development of democracy. And in some cases, our existing democratic situation can and should be an example for other countries.
