Azerbaijan’s Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova presented 2006 annual report “Situation on ensuring and protection of human rights and freedoms in Azerbaijan� to the President and Parliament, Ombudsman’s office press service told the APA. The ombudsman’s annual report was also sent to the Cabinet, Constitutional Court, Supreme Court and Prosecutor General. The reports covers ombudsman’s activity in the sphere of human rights and freedoms, juridical enlightenment and scientific-analytical activity, cooperation with public and mass media, proposals and recommendations on ensuring human rights and freedoms, as well as amendments to the legislation.
The annual report will be debated in the Parliament soon and then will be publicized. /APA/
