Azerbaijani Interior Troops appeals for training in Turkish Peacekeeping Forces

Deputy Chief of Turkish Armed Forces Staff, General Ergun Saygun today has been in head office of Interior Troops, APA reports. He laid wreath on the monument constructed in the honour of Martyrs. Commander of Interior Troops, General Lieutenant Zakir Hasanov and Ergun Saygun had one-on-one meeting. Saygun told the journalists that Turkish Gendarmerie Troops are cooperating with Azerbaijani Interior Troops.
â€œInterior Troops has developed. The state administration takes much care of them. We are satisfied with present situation of the Interior Troops,â€? he said.
Zakir Hasanov said that the meeting covered discussions on prospects of bilateral cooperation.
â€œToday our officers get education both in military academies and schools of Interior Troops and Gendarmerie. We have appealed for our officers to have education in Turkish Strategical Academy. We have discussed this issue with General Saygun and also analyzed the function of troops,â€? he said.
Hasanov said that they have also discussed Turkeyâ€™s assistance in preparation of peacekeepers of Azerbaijani Interior troops. He stressed that they have appealed for our officers to be trained in the training center of Turkish peacekeeping forces. /APA/
