Public Chamber announces to change rally tactics

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. The Public Chamberâ€™s Coordination Council held a press conference dedicated to socio-political condition in the country and the oppositionâ€™s rally scheduled to May 6, APA reports.

Musavat Partyâ€™s chairman Isa Gambar said that the Public Chamber insisted in continuation of the rallies. He called the government to release the opposition members who were arrested and said that they didnâ€™t make ultimatum or condition. â€œIt is clear that our meetings will be continued if our comrades are in jailâ€.

Gambar said that if their demands are not accepted, they will not hold the May 6 rally in the 20th residential areas in Sabayil district: â€œWe may hold the rally in the cityâ€™s centre outside the Baku Mayorâ€™s Office.â€

Member of the PC Coordination Council Vidadi Mirkamal said that they are ready to hold negotiations with the government: â€œHead of the public policy department of the Presidential Administration said the government is ready to hold negotiations with the opposition, we are also ready to negotiationsâ€. He said that Public Chamber established a group to hold permanent negotiations with the government and this group will hold negotiations with relevant organizations.

Chairman of the APFP Ali Karimli said that they may change tactics in the rally.

Public Chamber held a rally at the playground near the driving school in the 20th residential area in Bibiheybat settlement on April 8 and 22.
