Ali Ahmadov: “The opposition has not changed for 20 yearsâ€

Baku. Anakhanum Hidayatova – APA. “The Public Chamber held two rallies, what has happened then for anything to happen in its May 6 rally? The opposition can not find a pastime for itself. The opposition’s business is holding the protest actions. But unfortunately the opposition can’t realize that the citizens don’t support them, they don’t want understand this realityâ€, said Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of YAP Ali Ahmadov, APA reports.
Ahmadov said that the opposition has not changed for 20 years: “They gather 5-10 people, hold rally and reiterate the same things. Many things have changed in Azerbaijan during 20 years, but only opposition hasn’t changed. Azerbaijani society gets benefit from the government’s policy and that’s why supports it. People doesn’t believe in opposition, if they had believed, they would have changed and strengthened. By contrast, their position weakens day after day. Their rallies typify it. 1000-1500 people attend the rally of 30-40 parties, most of attendees are their relatives and functionaries. What can be changed in the country with them? Today they have no place and role in Azerbaijan’s politicsâ€.
