Ali Ahmadov: â€œThe opposition has not changed for 20 yearsâ€

Baku. Anakhanum Hidayatova â€“ APA. â€œThe Public Chamber held two rallies, what has happened then for anything to happen in its May 6 rally? The opposition can not find a pastime for itself. The oppositionâ€™s business is holding the protest actions. But unfortunately the opposition canâ€™t realize that the citizens donâ€™t support them, they donâ€™t want understand this realityâ€, said Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of YAP Ali Ahmadov, APA reports.

Ahmadov said that the opposition has not changed for 20 years: â€œThey gather 5-10 people, hold rally and reiterate the same things. Many things have changed in Azerbaijan during 20 years, but only opposition hasnâ€™t changed. Azerbaijani society gets benefit from the governmentâ€™s policy and thatâ€™s why supports it. People doesnâ€™t believe in opposition, if they had believed, they would have changed and strengthened. By contrast, their position weakens day after day. Their rallies typify it. 1000-1500 people attend the rally of 30-40 parties, most of attendees are their relatives and functionaries. What can be changed in the country with them? Today they have no place and role in Azerbaijanâ€™s politicsâ€.
