Baku. Parvin Abbasov – APA. Discussions on the current issues have been today held at meeting of the Azerbaijani parliament, APA reports. Parliamentarians expressed their views on the persons detained during the Public Chamber’s rally on April 2. They also mentioned the issues related to Eurovision 2012 Song Contest. MP Igbal Agazadeh underlined the importance of releasing the persons detained on April 2. He said that these people must be released due to serving one-third sentence or pardon decree.

Member of the parliament Siyavush Novruzov didn’t agree with Agazadeh: “It is not true to call them as prisoner of conscience. These persons committed concrete crimes. Are all of them prisoner of conscience?” They committed a crime. If they want to be pardoned they would address.”

Novruzov said that some countries propagandize against Azerbaijan and some persons support this process: “Ali Karimli is very often interviewed by German newspapers and speaks against Azerbaijan. He never speaks about occupation of Nagorno Karabakh.”

Novruzov also condemned the actions on the eve of Eurovision-2012 Song Contest: “Such forces want to break the stability in the country.”

Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov said that Eurovision Song Contest will be held successfully in Azerbaijan.
