Siyavush Novruzov: The oppositionâ€™s first demand from ambassadors is money

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œIt is the right of the Public Chamber to meet with the ambassadors of the European Union member states. But I do not know how dare the European ambassadors meet with them,â€ deputy executive secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Siyavush Novruzov told APA. He said the Public Chamber put forward initiative several times to meet with the EU ambassadors to Azerbaijan.

â€œThere is a stenograph of the discussion held last year. Their first demand is money. One of the ambassadors said if they fail to gather enough people in the rally, they will not give them financial and moral support. Even one of the ambassadors said the information of the opposition about the number of the participants of the rally was false,â€ he said.

â€œWe saw the level of the rallies held by the opposition parties, youth organizations close to them. None of the opposition parties has social basis. People do not expect anything from those who think only about rallies,â€ Novruzov said.
