President Ilham Aliyev congratulates Azerbaijani women on 8 March

According to APA, the letter of congratulation reads:

â€œDear ladies! Dear mothers and sisters!

I congratulate you with all my heart on 8 March â€“ International Womenâ€™s Day.

In every period of our history, our women showed moral support to the society and great dedication to determining contemporary image of the country. Gaining the right to vote and to be elected before many leading countries of the world, they had an opportunity to become active participant of the social life. Our women use their energy and intellect for welfare of the people and motherland and reach many achievements. Unity of nationality and modernity is a constant feature of their rich morality. I would like to note proudly that Azerbaijani women were pioneers among the Eastern women in the spheres of art and culture, science and technology.

Azerbaijani women unite around the idea of independence of our people and contribute to the processes of state-building, socio-economic, scientific-technological potential of the republic becoming active participants of the socio-political events. Azerbaijani women are enlighteners and doing substantial work in the spheres of education and health, successfully fulfilling the ideas of our intellectuals. Increasing womenâ€™s influence in the society and their current social situation is a remarkable event of contemporary life of Azerbaijan. In the period of rapidly changing values system of globalizing world, our mothers are real guarantors of our national-cultural wealth and moral resources. They worthily fulfill their tasks to educate young generation in a spirit of faith to our ancient traditions, national conscience and statehood ideas.

I believe Azerbaijani women will do their best for dynamic development and progress of our republic. I wish you good health, happiness and new achievementsâ€.
