Ali Hasanov: â€œPoliticizing the Eurovision Contest, some organizations and groups intend to use it for their political and other interestsâ€

Hasanov said some buildings in Baku were removed lawfully and compensated. The cityâ€™s General Plan breached in previous years is being restored and the infrastructure is being established in accordance with the necessary standards. â€œWe consider the attempts to connect all this work with the Eurovision Contest as a pressure against Azerbaijan. Politicizing the Eurovision Contest, some organizations and groups intend to use it for their political and other interestsâ€.

Hasanov said such materials published by some foreign media organizations had a common strategy. â€œThey intend to exert pressure on Azerbaijan, to get concessions from Azerbaijan in the fields of home, foreign and energy policies, as well as other issues. They are trying to employ media organizations as a means. It is carried out by separate groups and circles. The government of Azerbaijan always expressed its opinion on it and will do it furtherâ€.
