Committee Chairman of Azerbaijani Parliament condemns activity of Justice Ministryâ€™s Center for Work with Municipalities

Baku. Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. â€œThe rights of the municipalities are infringed in Azerbaijan. But the Center for the Work with Municipalities at the Ministry of Justice doesnâ€™t take any measures on these infringed rightsâ€, said Chairman of Parliamentâ€™s Committee on Regional Policy Arif Rahimzadeh at the Parliamentâ€™s meeting today, APA reports.

Rahimzadeh said that the Justice Ministry considered his work finished by establishing the Center for Work with Municipalities: â€œThe Ministryâ€™s Center for Work with Municipalities is engaged only in examining the municipalities and punishing themâ€.

Rahimzadeh also said that right to property on land was not given to one third, approximately 600 Azerbaijani municipalities.

The annual report of body implementing the administrative control over the activity of municipality - Center for the Work with Municipalities at the Ministry of Justice is being read at the Parliamentâ€™s meeting now. Deputy Justice Minister Vilayat Zahirov presented the report.

Rahimzadeh ironically reacted on some numbers sounded by deputy minister.
