At the meeting was noted that in the reported period 23010 crimes were recorded over all subjects in Baku, 88.5% (10.018) of them were light crimes, 11,5 % (1298) - grave crimes. Total number of grave crimes decreased 7.4%, crimes against individuals 6.1 %, blackmail 35.7 %, robbery – 15.1%, intentional infliction of bodily harm 6.1 %, deliberate infliction of less grievous bodily harm 6 %, stealing of the cars 14, 3 % decreased.
In general crimes were disclosed for 73,3 % , grave crimes 71%, crimes against individuals 94,9 %. Last year, 58 criminal groups consisting of 140 people committing 26 robberies and 41 plunders as well as 31 criminal groups consisting of 72 criminals were rendered harmless by the Interior Ministry bodies.
Last year, around 149 kg of drugs were withdrawn from turnover as a result of struggle against illegal drug turnover that is 10.6 kg more in comparison with 2010. It was noted that 61 firearms, including 4 machine, 32 pistols, 25 rifles and a large quantity of ammunition was taken.
801 (70.6%) of 1134 wanted offenders were arrested in the last year. As a result, compared to 2010, the capture of persons wanted for serious and grave crime has improved by 4.3%. 22 of 160 arrested persons for grave crimes were wanted for murder and attempted murder, 14 for serious injuries, 10 for robbery and 24 for plunder. During the reported period 66% of the missing persons were found and returned to families. Certain work has been done in the field of road safety. In this area, 366 222 traffic violations were registered. 4426 of them were for passing activity and speed limit, 1699 for drunk driving. 282 auto-hooligan were detained and handed over to the court in 2011.
