Prosecutorâ€™s Office holds operation meeting

Baku-APA. Hafiz Haydarov. The extended operation meeting on the conclusions of implementation of â€œthe State Programme on modernization of Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2011," was held on January 9.

Having a speech at the sitting Zakir Garalov, Prosecutor General noted that combat against crimes stepped up new effective level as a result of mutual joint efforts among of the force structures specially among the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of National Security and positive changes were observed in dynamics and structure of the crime, APA reports quoting website of Prosecutorâ€™s Office. It was stated that the measures realized with President Ilham Aliyevâ€™s support had an exceptional importance on improvement of Anti-Corruption Department under General Prosecutorâ€™s Office as a specialized crime prosecution body, and on increasing effectiveness of anti-corruption activity during the report period.

It was noted that Anti-Corruption Department under General Prosecutorâ€™s Office took necessary steps to strengthen fighting against corruption last year.

Z. Garalov stated that in 2011, the realization of the order of the President of Azerbaijan dated September 27, 2008 on modernization of Azerbaijan Republic Presecutorâ€™s Office for 2009-2011
was completed

Namig Asgarov, Deputy General Prosecutor gave detailed information on realization of â€œthe State Programme on modernization of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the years 2009-2011â€

General Kamran Aliyev, Head of the Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutorâ€™s Office, Nazir Bayramov, chief of Science-Education Center of the General Prosecutor’s Office and Natig Huseynov, Head of the legal security and information Department had speeches on State program and its implementation.

The action plan for the first half of 2012 introduced by the Azizagha Hasanov, head of the organizational-Analytical department was confirmed.
