President Ilham Aliyev visited newly-reconstructed Children Neurological Hospital

Baku â€“ APA. The Children Neurological Hospital was re-opened in Baku on Tuesday after the reconstruction. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the newly-reconstructed hospital today, APA reports quoting AzerTAc news agency.

Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev informed the President and his spouse about the hospital. It was first children neurological hospital in the former USSR. The hospital was built in 1980. Heydar Aliyev attended the opening of this hospital. The reconstruction work has been started in the hospitalâ€™s six-storey building since February, 2011. President Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the exhibition in the hospitalâ€™s lobby and looked at the photos, which reflect the opening of the hospital in 1980, as well as contribution of the President and First Lady to the development of healthcare in the country.

The policlinic-diagnostic, computer-tomography, ultrasound examination, electro-encephalography, ECG and other rooms are located at the first floor of the hospital. President Aliyev and his spouse familiarized with the conditions created in the treatment and after-treatment unit. Modern cardio-monitor, artificial respirating unit, defibrillator were installed in the unit. The Head of State highly appreciated the conditions created in the hospital and gave instructions and recommendations.
