November 30 elections to remain in Azerbaijan’s history– <font color=red>EXCLUSIVE </font>

No one of the candidates registered during the election campaign has recalled nomination. This fact was recorded in the history of parliamentary and municipal elections of Azerbaijan for the first time.

Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov confirmed this fact to APA. “10 applicants were not registered, but there has been no case of deregistration so far”.

The candidates will run for 464 places in 330 municipalities during the voting in 86 constituencies on November 30. In general, 1567 candidates were registered. 16 people withdrew their nomination, 2 people died. Consequently, the number of registered to municipal elections decreased from 1567 to 1549.

9863 observers were registered in the electoral districts, 40 – in the Central Election Commission. The total number of registered observers is 9903.

Last municipal elections were held in Azerbaijan on December 23, 2009.
