Ombudsman visits MNS investigative isolation ward

Baku â€“ APA. Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova visited the Investigative Isolation Ward of the Ministry of the National Security, met with persons detained there, acquainted with their arrangements for the custody and their states. During the meeting the detainees told Ombudsperson that they had no complaint against their arrangements for the custody in the Investigative Isolation Ward and treatment against them.

At the same time Habil Kamran Novruzov and Surac Guloglan Aliyev delivered their complaints to Ombudsperson.

The Commissioner gave advices to the detention supervisors for improvement of the arrangement for custody.
During the visit Ombudsperson appealed to authoritative bodies for taking certain measures to investigate reports she received and to take its results into consideration.
