Javid Gurbanov: â€œAzerbaijan needs 4-5 years and 35 billion-dollar resources in order to rebuild the roadsâ€

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA. Today, economic policy, law policy and state building committees of the Parliament have held a joint meeting, APA reports. Draft amendments and annexes to the Labor Code in connection with application of law on â€œCompulsory insurance on losing ability to work as a result of industrial accidents and professional diseasesâ€ and law on â€œInsurance activitiesâ€, draft amendments and annexes to some legislative acts due to application of law on â€œEducationâ€, draft law on ratification of Convention about â€œRoad Signs and Signalsâ€, draft law on application of European Agreement supplementing the 1968 Convention on â€œRoad Signs and Signalsâ€ were discussed at the meeting.

Delivering speech at the meeting, Chairman of Economic Policy Committee Ziyad Samadzadeh touched upon future activity of his committee with new composition. MP Vahid Ahmadov considered it necessary the adoption of several draft laws prepared during the last convocation.

According to Khanhuseyn Kazimli, though the law on â€œRegulated pricesâ€ has been adopted, it has not come into force: â€œWe have price-related problems. Entrepreneur must deposit AZN 1 million in order to take on credit AZN 100 thousandâ€.

According to the proposed Labor Code, the employer is to guarantee compulsory insurance against losing ability to work as a result of industrial accidents and professional diseases. Certain information, concerning workerâ€™s insurance is necessary for Labor Code.

It was noted that Azerbaijan ratified the Convention on Road Signs and Signals in 1968 and issued a statement saying that it can not guarantee the implementation of the provisions of the Convention in the territories occupied by Armenia unless these territories are released and the consequences of the occupation are completely eliminated.

Deputy Javid Gurbanov also expressed his opinion on convention concerning road signs. He said that Azerbaijan needs 4-5 years and 35 billion-dollar resources in order to rebuild the roads.

Thereupon, the draft laws were recommended to the parliamentâ€™s meeting after putting them to vote.
