Central Election Commission holds regular meeting

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan held its regular meeting on Wednesday and approved the protocol of the October 13, 2010 meeting, APA reports.

CEC secretary and members Natig Mammadov, Mikayil Rahimov, Ramiz Ibrahimob, Valida Kazimova, Nizami Nadirov, Tofig Hasanov reported about the complaints received in the past period.

The commission also reviewed appeals of the independent candidates and nominees from the coalitions AXCP-Musavat, Karabakh, For Human, as well as Classic Popular Front Party (KXCP), Party of the World of Democratic Azerbaijan and made relevant decisions. CEC prolonged the term of processing of some complaints.

The commission reviewed the complaint of Nizami electoral district nominee, chairman of the World Azerbaijanis Congressâ€™ representation in Azerbaijan Saftar Rahimli and confirmed the electoral district commissionâ€™s decision not to register him. CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov said the complaints would be reviewed within two days.

CEC chairman said they have received 20 appeals more on Wednesday.
