Azerbaijani President attends opening of several facilities in Sharur and Sadarak regions
President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a new building of the secondary school in Makhta village, Sharur. The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening. President was told that Makhta secondary school named after National Hero Ali Jamalov had been overhauled. There are 30 classrooms in the new three-storey, 540-pupil school. The school consists of three buildings. The classrooms, labs have been provided with necessary modern devices. An exhibition containing materials about the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev was established at the library where six thousands copies of literature are saved. There are modern exercise room and two computer classrooms with 38 computers and Internet access in the school. Two electron-board classrooms will give an opportunity to get an education according to the modern standards. There are visual aids for military education. The head of state highly appreciated the conditions created there and congratulated the school staff. The teachers thanked President Ilham Aliyev for care and attention given to the education in the country.
President Ilham Aliyev visited Sadarak region within his tour on Nakhchivan. Sadarak is only administrative territory in Azerbaijan that is bordering with three countries. Residents of Sadarak region heroically stood up against the Armenian attacks early 1990s. Recent development processes in the region showed its importance for Azerbaijan. Measures taken in the fields of education, healthcare and other spheres have special significance in the context of general development of the region.
President Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony of opening of the central regional hospital in Sadarak. The head of state cut a ribbon symbolizing the official opening and looked at the building. The hospital located in an area of 11 700 square meters was constructed according to the modern standards.
Together with cellar the 3-stored hospital has 26 beds. 29 doctors, 34 nurses work at the health center setup with modern medical equipments. There will function 3 departments - in-patient clinic, policlinics and first aid. Moreover, there are all opportunities for contagious diseases, pediatrics, delivery and gynecology, surgery, therapy sections, laboratory, drug store, ENT specialist, physiotherapy, manipulation, electrocardiography and echographia in this hospital. The president was informed that health reforms were held successfully in the Autonomic Republic. Process of establishment of health centers and reconstruction of the existing hospitals nearly in all regions of the autonomic republic has been continued fast within the past period of the current year. Staff of the hospital thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his attention and care. The head of state expressed satisfaction with the created condition and wished lucks to the collective.
The head of state attended unveiling ceremony of secondary school # 2 in Sadarak region. Aliyev cut red ribbon and got acquainted with the building. He was informed that building of the Sadarak secondary school # 2 has been constructed recently. The construction of 4-stroed school began in May of this year. There are 33 classrooms, studies, as well as military preparation rooms and sport halls have been supplied with necessary equipments. There are 31 computers in school which have entrance to the net. About 10 000 literature are guarded at library. 32 teachers are engaged in the education of 511 pupils. It was noted that all schools of the Autonomic Republic have been provided with computers. Around 2 674 computers were given to schools. The head of state congratulated the school staff on the occasion of opening of a new building and wished them success.
Within the framework of his visit to Nakhchivan Autonomic Republic of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev visited a military unit in Sadarak. Chief of Nakhchivan garrison, Lieutenant General Karam Mustafayev reported to President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. The head of state got acquainted with military unit. He was informed that all conditions for service of officer, sergeant and soldiers’ staff had been made in the building constructed in 2008. Houses were built for officers of the military unit. President Ilham Aliyev watched the line of contact from observation post.
