From which constituencies YAP has not nominated candidates?

Baku – APA. The New Azerbaijan Party will nominate candidates from 114 constituencies in the parliamentary elections, 2010. APA reports that the list of the party’s candidates has been confirmed at the meeting of the Management Board. The ruling party has not nominated candidates only from Babek-Kangarli constituency #3, Julfa-Ordubad constituency #7, Gobustan-Khizi-Guba #50, Salyan constituency #59, Salyan-Neftchala constituency #60, first Sabirabad constituency #63, Bilasuvar constituency #66, Berde constituency #93, Samukh-Shamkir constituency #102, Gabala constituency #116 and Khankendi constituency #122. In these constituencies the New Azerbaijan Party is supposed to support the candidates of other parties and non-party candidates.

In the previous elections Sattar Mehbaliyev was elected from Babek-Kangarli constituency #3. In those elections the New Azerbaijan Party did not nominate candidate from that constituency and supported Sattar Mehbaliyev’s candidacy.

Writer Akram Aylisli was elected from Julfa-Ordubad constituency #7, his candidacy was supported from YAP. But Akram Aylisli has said he will not run for the parliament this year. Chairman of the United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Gudrat Hasanguliyev has nominated his candidacy from constituency #7.

As in the elections in 2005, YAP has not nominated a candidate from Gobustan-Khizi-Guba #50 this year. Zeynab Khanlarova is the parliamentarian from this constituency. It is not known whether she will run for the parliament this year or not.

In the previous elections YAP nominated Akram Abdullayev from Salyan constituency #59 and he won the elections. This year the ruling party has not nominated a candidate from this constituency. Head of Salyan executive power Aliaga Huseynov has nominated his candidacy from this constituency this year.

Chairman of Ana Vatan (Motherland) Party Fazail Aghamali was elected from Salyan-Neftchala constituency #60 in 2005. The ruling party, which has not nominated a candidate from this constituency this year, may support the chairman of this party.

Chairman of Azerbaijan People’s Party Panah Huseyn was elected from first Sabirabad constituency #63 in the previous elections. YAP has not nominated a candidate from this constituency this year. Chairman of Ireli Public Union Jeyhun Osmanli has put forward his candidacy from this constituency.

YAP has not nominated a candidate from Bilasuvar constituency #66. Chairman of Social Welfare Party Khanhuseyn Kazimli was elected from this constituency in 2005. The ruling party has not nominated a candidate from Berde constituency #93, where the representative of another ally party – member of AVP Zahid Oruj was elected.

The New Azerbaijan Party has not nominated candidates from Samukh-Shamkir constituency #102, where vice-speaker of the parliament Valeh Alasgarov was elected, from Gabala constituency #116, where Fattah Heydarov was elected and Khankendi constituency #122, where Havva Mammadova was elected in the previous elections.
