Mazahir Panahov: It is impossible to facilitate more the procedure of the registration of the candidates for parliament

But we have so simple registration procedure that I do not know how can this procedure be facilitated more,â€ chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said, APA reports. According to him, a person is to apply to the election constituency for the registration of the candidacy.
â€œThe constituency gives 450 signature sheets. After that the candidate gives information about him/her to the constituency. Nothing else is required from the candidate. So, the procedure of the registration of the candidates is simple in Azerbaijan,â€ he said.

Mazahir Panahov said if the candidate has problems with the constituency concerning the registration and other issues, CEC passes decision in favor of the candidates to the extent of the law.
â€œWe will demonstrate this position again,â€ he said.
