Department chief of Presidential Administration Zeynal Nagdaliyev: We will demonstrate strict position on the irregularities in the parliamentary elections

In the recent local elections Azerbaijan demonstrated further steps on the way to democracy,â€ chief of the Presidential Administrationâ€™s department for territorial administrative bodies Zeynal Nagdaliyev said at the event held at the Central Election Commission on the start of the trainings for chairmen of election constituencies, APA reports. According to him, there were some irregularities in the local elections in 2008, they were assessed by the countryâ€™s leadership.
â€œThe executive bodies, which made irregularities, were punished, head of Naftalan region executive power was dismissed, a number of results were cancelled. This position will become stricter in the forthcoming parliamentary elections. We should improve this practice much more,â€ he said.
Nagdaliyev said there were provocations during the local elections in 2008, this time these provocations were prevented.
