An expanded operational meeting held in the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office of Azerbaijan

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. In the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office of Azerbaijan was held an expanded operational meeting on the first half of 2010, APA reports quoting the press service of the Prosecutor General.

Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov at the meeting noted that despite the global economic crisis, Azerbaijan moved to a qualitatively new stage of socio-economic development and gained to build a democratic state, civil society.

Prosecutor General said that in the first half of 2010, the Office of the Prosecutor as well as courts and Justice Law enforcement authorities have taken important steps towards the fight against crime, including organized crime, the protection of socio-political stability and order, protect the rights and freedoms of citizens in the state.

â€œAt the same time made all measures to eliminate shortcomings in the work of prosecutorsâ€, - Zakir Garalov told.
