Central Election Commission gets new building

Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. The Central Election Commission gets a new building in the territory of Binagadi district of Baku, CEC press service told APA. President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of a new administrative building on Monday. The president cut a symbolic ribbon and became familiar with the building.

The nine-storey building constructed in a national eclectic style has all conditions for normal working regime of the commission members and personnel. Alongside with the offices, there are a library, archive, conference room and conventional hall, Elections Information Center, web-camera control center, café and other subsidiary rooms. The building was provided with a modern lighting, ventilation, fire security, communication and video surveillance systems. The nearby area was renovated and landscaped around the building. President Aliyev congratulated the CEC staff and made his recommendations.

CEC press secretary Azer Sariyev said the commission and Elections Information Center would move to the new building in the next few days.
