Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visits north-western region of the country

Baku â€“ APA. President Ilham Aliyev is on a visit to the north-western region of Azerbaijan. The head of state started his tour with visiting the Heydar Aliyevâ€™s monument in the regional center, press service of the President told APA. He was informed about the renovation of the Heydar Aliyev Park around the monument. New benches, modern lighting system and fountains were installed and greenery strip was extended there.

Then President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a milk processing factory in Zagatala.

The president was informed that the factory was constructed by Gilan Ltd and it was important enterprise in the region for its potential and export capacity. This is one of the five milk processing factories of the country and located in five-hectare field. Its daily production output is 30 tons and modern equipments were installed there. It has modern laboratory and other service units. It purchases milk from the different villages of Zagatala.

President Ilham Aliyev also attended the opening of tobacco plant owned by Intertabako Ltd in Zagatala. The plant located in two-hectare field has 3300-3600 ton of annual production capacity. The head of state wished successes to the plantâ€™s staff.

The president also visited the Cultural Center of Zagatala renovated recently. The building was constructed in 1959 and was modernized this year in accordance with the latest standards. There are two folklore groups, a folklore theater and rope-dancer group, travel club and five circles at the center. President Ilham Aliyev visited the veteran garden near the Cultural Center. He expressed satisfaction with the renovation work there and made his recommendations. Then the president met with the members of local community.
