Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. Azerbaijan Democratic Party’s Supreme Mejlis (Council) will hold its meeting in September due to the municipal elections to take place later this year, ADP Deputy Chief Hasrat Rustamov told APA. The party will make decisions on its participation in the elections and nomination of the candidates. Rustamov said they did not aim to nominate candidates for all municipalities. He said ADP would nominate about 500 candidates because population and party members didn’t show special interest to the elections. “Despite lack of interest, we don’t expect to boycott the elections. We have to leave the boycott traditions at all”. Rustamov said they expected for participation of 15-20 percent of voters. “We have to work to make voters more active in these elections. The party leadership and the candidates have to provide campaign among the population to make it more active”.
