Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP) reacted to the statement made by American co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group Matthew Bryza in Yerevan, the party’s press service told APA. The party says that Bryza’s views contradicted the mediating mission, international law and were unfair. ADP states that the American co-chair actually spoke about the plan of unification of the region to Armenia in exchange for releasing five regions adjacent to Nagorno Karabakh, and later Lachin and Kalbajar. The party considers that the solution of the conflict should mean full release of all the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, especially Nagorno Karabakh and complete restoration of Azerbaijan sovereignty in these territories.
“Very often Matthew Bryza was obliged to refute his statements, this proves his unsuccessful work as a diplomat.”
ADP also calls on Azerbaijani government to react to Matthew Bryza’s statement, demand official explanation from the U.S. administration in connection with the statement and inform the people on what principles the negotiations are based.
