Asim Mollazadeh: â€œMutual visits to Karabakh decided to be developed furtherâ€

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. â€œWe started our visit to Khankendi from the region of Tartar. OSCE representatives and Azerbaijani Armed Forces organized mine-free passage and we crossed the line of contact of the Armenian armed forces. Then we visited Khankendi. A delegation from Armenia was waiting us in Khankendi. After the meeting with the Armenian community leader we traveled to Shusha. I have very hard impressions about the situation of Shushaâ€, chairman of Azerbaijan Democratic Reforms Party Asim Mollazadeh, who visited Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia within the Azerbaijani delegation on July 3, said at a press conference on Friday, APA reports. He said the delegation flew to Yerevan from Shusha by helicopter. â€œWe had a meeting with Armenian president and following that meeting we left for Baku together with the Armenian delegation. We had some opportunity to show the center of Baku to the Armenian delegation, including the Armenian church and library hereâ€.
Mollazadeh thinks that this visit doesnâ€™t claim to replace the negotiation process within the OSCE Minsk Group. â€œThis mission couldnâ€™t be â€œpeopleâ€™s diplomacyâ€ too because there were representatives of legislative and executive powers and media in this mission. It was an attempt to do work toward the rapprochement of both peoples to peace after the possible positive results of the negotiation process. Certain progresses are expected from the meeting of the presidents on July 17 in Moscow with Russian president and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs. It is not improbable that this process would be developed after the reaching of framework agreement by the end of the yearâ€.
Mollazadeh said the mutual visits decided to be developed further.
