Ogtay Asadov receives OSCE Chairperson-in-Office

Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov received the delegation led by OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, parliamentâ€™s press service told APA. Ogtay Asadov said Azerbaijan attached great importance to the development of the relations with the international organizations and other states.
â€œIntegration into Europe is the priority of Azerbaijanâ€™s foreign policy. In this respect, we attach great importance to the cooperation with Greece, one of the valuable members of the Europe. There are broad opportunities to deepen economic, cultural and humanitarian relations,â€ he said.

Speaking of the hardest problem of Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict Ogtay Asadov said the protraction of the problemâ€™s solution impeded the development and security in the region.
â€œOSCE Minsk Group has been dealing with the settlement of the problem for 15 years, but for the first time within these years progress is being observed in this field,â€ he said.

Dora Bakoyannis said Greece was interested in cooperating with Azerbaijan in various spheres. Speaking of her visit to the region, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office underlined the importance of soonest solution to Nagorno Karabakh problem.
â€œSolution of such conflicts in line with the norms of the international law is one of the important issues for the security architecture of the region and Europe,â€ she said.
