AMIP protests the gas price increase

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Azerbaijan National Independence Party (AMIP) issued strong statement against the double increase of gas price by the Tariff Council, AMIP press service told APA. AMIL called it as shameful step for Azerbaijan, the country, which has rich hydrocarbon resources. The party said it was against the budget filling at the populationâ€™s expense and condemned the governmentâ€™s action. The party considers that increase of energy vector prices worsens the situation of the citizens and leads to the social tensions in the society. Therefore the party calls on the Tariff Council to review its decision and to pursue the price policy adequately with real incomes of the population.
