Vagif Mahmudov to put forward his candidacy for chairmanship of Open Society Party

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œI want to put forward my candidacy for chairmanship of Open Society Party,â€ Chairman of Supreme Assembly of Open Society Party, acting chairman of the party Vagif Mahmudov told APA.
â€œFor now I am acting chairman and there may be other candidates for the chairmanship at the meeting of the Supreme Assembly. The candidates will be determined at the meeting. Concrete decision will be passed and I may put forward my candidacy,â€ he said.
According to Mahmudov, he has prepared a program and the program will be presented to the leader of the party. Under the regulations of the party, within three months after the resignation of the party chairman, the Supreme Assembly should held a meeting and elect the new chairman. He noted that the date of the meeting will be fixed soon.
