Akif Shahbazov resigns from OSP chairmanship

Shahbazov said he resigned at the end of the meeting. â€œI am arguing my resignation with that OSP has realized heaviness of the real socio-political situation in the country and has seen its non-perspective and insignificant struggle for power since its establishment, but tried to move its political course toward the party leader Rasul Guliyevâ€™s returning to Azerbaijan. However as an author of the plan of returning I couldnâ€™t carry out this mission and realizing my responsibility I resigned from the party chairmanship. I consider that the party leader and members will understand my decisionâ€.

Shahbazov said chairman of the OSP Supreme Mejlis Vagif Mahmoudov would be an executive chairman.
