Shamsaddin Hajiyev: â€œThe State Commissionâ€™s dissatisfactions with the education law have been resolvedâ€

He said if the president approved the law. It would be implemented in the new academic year.

Hajiyev said they took into consideration proposals of all ministries and those, which were not considered by the law, were agreed with them. He said the State Commission of Student Admission was dissatisfied with three articles, but they resolved the issue. â€œWe elaborated one article again and two others, evaluation of the studentâ€™s knowledge, student admission, as well as data base of the applicants, were the issues related to the authorities of relevant executive bodies. We reached agreement on these proposals. The State Commission proposed not to make privileges for some students, but we agreed that Olympiad and world contest winners must have privileges during the admission. The school-leavers awarded with medals on graduation will not have privileges during the university admissionâ€.

The committee chairman said the parliament would discuss the laws on high education, scientific policy, general secondary-level education.
