Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. Nongovernmental organizations (NGO) will not be able to picket outside the parliament, deputy chief of Baku Main Police Office Yashar Aliyev told APA. Yashar Aliyev said the organizers of the protest action had been warned about it, the police had taken the control of the area. APA’s correspondent reports that the police have taken control of the parliament. The persons approaching the territory are checked by the police.
NGO representatives plan to picket outside the parliament protesting against the amendments proposed to the law on NGOs. The parliament is expected to discuss the amendments to the law today.
