YAP holds conference on occasion of June 15 â€“ National Salvation Day

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) held a conference on the theme â€œThe road beginning with salvationâ€ on the occasion of June 15 â€“ National Salvation Day, APA reports. Before the conference the participants visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Honors Alley. Deputy Chairman of YAP Ali Ahmadov spoke about Heydar Aliyevâ€™s coming to power in 1993 and the then political situation. He said the road launched by Heydar Aliyev was continued by Ilham Aliyev.

First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov made a report about Heydar Aliyevâ€™s political activity. He spoke about the work done by Heydar Aliyev in the Soviet Union and independent Azerbaijan and pressures against him.

Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev made a report about Heydar Aliyevâ€™s oil strategy. He said â€œThe Contract of the Centuryâ€ signed in 1994 was one of the biggest achievements of Heydar Aliyev.
â€œForeign and internal enemies attempted to prevent it. They even tried to annihilate Heydar Aliyev. They stirred up a rebellion. Some foreign forces attempted to prevent the recognition of the contract on the international level. But they did not produce results,â€ he said.

Chairman of the parliamentâ€™s committee of regional policy Arif Rahimzadeh, chairman of the committee of agrarian policy Eldar Ibrahimov also addressed the conference.
