Ali Hasanov: â€œAmendments to the law on â€œNongovernmental organizationsâ€ are in line with the international standardsâ€

Before foreign NGOs had operated in Azerbaijan as they liked, from now on, they will operate basing on the contract signed between the countries, this is normal. The proposed amendments meet modern world standards,â€ head of socio-political department of the Presidentâ€™s Administration Ali Hasanov said commenting on the amendments proposed to the law on â€œNongovernmental organizationsâ€, APA reports.

Hasanov said he did not understand the concern over the proposed amendments.
â€œFrankly speaking, I can not understand the concern of NGOs. Moreover, the amendments to the law will not create problems for existing NGOs. They have already been registered and continue their activity in line with the legislation. The amendments envisage strengthening of the relations between the states. Therefore there is no need to worry. We can talk to anybody who has concern and dissatisfaction,â€ he said.
